1. Definitions
- "TexportDocx" / "we" / "us" — the operator of the TexportDocx website and application, based in India.
- "You" / "user" — the natural person who signs in and uses the service.
- "Service" — the TexportDocx website, converter tools, credit ledger, and any related APIs.
- "Credits" — pre-paid usage units metered against successful conversions (1 credit ≈ 1 page of ~300 words).
- "Content" — documents, ZIP archives, text and images you supply to the service for conversion.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to contract under Section 11 of the Indian Contract Act, 1872. If you are a minor, you may use the service only under the supervision of a parent or lawful guardian who accepts these Terms on your behalf. TexportDocx is offered globally but is operated from India — using the service where it is prohibited by your local law is your responsibility.
3. Account & security
- One account per natural person. Sharing credentials is not permitted.
- You are liable for all activity performed under your login.
- Notify us immediately at texportdocxca@hotmail.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
- We may require email verification, password reset, or step-up checks to protect the account.
4. The service
The conversion engine runs inside your browser — your files are not uploaded to us for the primary LaTeX ↔ Word conversion. Certain optional features (for example, TikZ figure rendering) contact third-party services on your behalf; those requests carry only the relevant snippet, not your account data. The service is provided on a best-effort basis with no committed uptime SLA.
5. Credits, pricing & taxes
- Base price is ₹50 per credit, with published volume discounts of up to 30% on larger packs.
- 1 credit ≈ 1 page of ~300 words. The exact page count is computed server-side from the source you upload and shown before the conversion is billed.
- Credits are non-transferable between accounts, have no cash value, and cannot be converted back to money outside our refund policy.
- Credits do not expire under normal use. We may revoke unspent credits acquired through fraud, chargeback abuse, or violation of Section 8.
- All prices are inclusive of applicable Indian taxes (including GST) unless stated otherwise. Where a GST invoice is required, request it via texportdocxca@hotmail.com.
6. Payments
Payments are processed in INR by Razorpay Software Private Limited, an RBI-regulated Payment Aggregator. TexportDocx does not receive or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or netbanking credentials — that data is handled entirely by Razorpay under PCI-DSS. Your relationship with Razorpay is additionally governed by their terms and privacy policy.
7. Acceptable use
Use TexportDocx for lawful document conversion. Don't try to break, overload, resell, or reverse-engineer it. Specific prohibitions are listed in Section 8; enforcement is described in Section 9.
8. Prohibited content & misuse
You must not upload, process, or otherwise use the service to produce any of the following. This list is illustrative, not exhaustive.
Unlawful or harmful content
- Material that is obscene, sexually explicit involving minors, or otherwise violates Section 67, Section 67A or Section 67B of the Information Technology Act, 2000.
- Content that is defamatory, threatening, harassing, or invades another person's privacy.
- Content that promotes terrorism, violence, self-harm, or incites hatred against any group on grounds protected under Article 15 of the Constitution of India.
- Any content prohibited by Rule 3(1)(b) of the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
Fraud & forgery
- Forged government-issued identity documents, degrees, certificates, marksheets, invoices, bank statements or similar.
- Academic misconduct — passing off converted content as your own where prohibited by an institution.
- Any document intended to enable financial fraud, phishing, or impersonation.
Intellectual property violations
- Uploading works you do not own or have licensed rights to convert, in breach of the Copyright Act, 1957.
- Removing or altering rights-management information.
Technical abuse
- Reverse-engineering, decompiling, or scraping the service beyond what Section 65A of the Copyright Act permits.
- Bypassing, tampering with, or exploiting the credit meter, payment flow, or auth system.
- Creating multiple accounts to farm free credits or evade a ban.
- Uploading malware, executables masquerading as documents, or prompt-injection payloads targeting our engine or downstream services.
- Automated / headless usage, denial-of-service attempts, or workloads that materially degrade the service for others.
Commercial abuse
- Reselling, sublicensing, or white-labelling TexportDocx output as a competing conversion service.
- Using the service in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions law.
9. Enforcement, suspension & bans
Where we reasonably believe a violation has occurred, we may act proportionately and without prior notice:
- Warning — email notice, no restriction, for minor or first-time issues.
- Temporary suspension — sign-in blocked for 7–30 days pending investigation.
- Permanent ban — account terminated; associated emails and payment fingerprints may be blocklisted.
- Credit forfeiture — unspent credits may be revoked only for Section 8 violations; ordinary account closure preserves your balance for refund per the refund policy.
- Law-enforcement referral — where required by law, order of a competent authority, or Rule 3(1)(j) / 3(1)(d) of the IT Rules, 2021, we will preserve and disclose relevant information.
Appeal: if you believe an enforcement action was mistaken, email texportdocxca@hotmail.com with subject "Ban appeal" within 15 days of the action. Include your account email, the date/time of the action, and any context. We aim to respond within 15 days. Unresolved appeals may be escalated to the Grievance Officer (Section 12).
10. Intellectual property
You retain all rights in the documents you convert. You grant us only the limited, non-exclusive technical licence needed to run the conversion on your behalf and, where you opt-in, to send small snippets to third-party renderers (e.g. TikZ). TexportDocx's brand, code, templates, and site design remain our property and are protected under Indian and international IP law.
11. Privacy & data (DPDP Act, 2023)
- We collect the minimum data needed to run the service: email, hashed password/OAuth identity, credit ledger, payment references from Razorpay, and diagnostic conversion metadata.
- Your source documents are processed in your browser; we do not retain their contents on our servers for the core LaTeX ↔ Word flow.
- We process personal data as a Data Fiduciary under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, for the lawful purposes described here.
- You may request access, correction, or erasure of your personal data by writing to the Grievance Officer (Section 12).
- We do not sell your personal data. Sub-processors are listed in Section 13.
12. Grievance Officer
In compliance with the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021 and Section 8(9) of the DPDP Act, 2023:
- Name: Owner, TexportDocx
- Email: texportdocxca@hotmail.com (subject:
GRIEVANCE) - Acknowledgement: within 24 hours
- Resolution: within 15 days of receipt
13. Third-party services
- Razorpay — payment processing (India).
- Lovable Cloud — hosting, auth, and database layer.
- QuickLaTeX — optional server-side TikZ rendering, only when you enable it.
Each sub-processor has its own terms and privacy policy; using TexportDocx implies acceptance of the ones relevant to features you actually use.
14. Disclaimer & limitation of liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Conversion fidelity depends on your input; always proof the output before publishing.
To the maximum extent permitted by Indian law, TexportDocx's aggregate liability arising out of or in connection with the service — whether in contract, tort, or otherwise — is limited to the total amount you paid us in the six (6) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
15. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold TexportDocx, its owner, employees, and contractors harmless from any claim, demand, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of (a) your content, (b) your breach of these Terms, or (c) your violation of any law or third-party right.
16. Termination
You may close your account at any time by writing to us. We may terminate or suspend your account per Section 9. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (IP, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, governing law) will survive.
17. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced with at least 7 days' notice via an in-app banner and/or email. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. Older versions are available on request.
18. Governing law & jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to Section 9's appeal process and Section 12's grievance process, all disputes will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka. Any dispute involving a claim value above ₹5,000 may, at either party's option, be resolved by arbitration by a sole arbitrator under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996; the seat of arbitration shall be Bengaluru and the language English.
